Class of 2025 Q&A: Jared Turner, ODU Basketball Commit

Mike sits down with 2025 ODU Basketball commit, Jared Turner. Jared is transferring from Northeastern University, has two years of eligibility remaining and recently took an official visit to Old Dominion.

Coming out of high school, Jared was ranked a three-star prospect by 24/7 sports and rated the 13th best recruit in Washington D.C. in 2022 according to MaxPreps. The 6’8 wing from Silver Spring, Maryland, played for his father Steve Turner at Gonzaga College High School against Mike Jones' Dematha teams. He is a talented 3-point threat, hitting 41.6% of his threes in the 2023 and 2024 seasons for the Northeastern Huskies, leading himself to an impressive 61% eFG%.
