Lesson 6 - Ground Reference Maneuvers

In lesson 6, Derek teaches David how to perform ground reference maneuvers. These maneuvers help pilots fly a particular path over the ground while compensating for drift caused by the wind through which the aircraft is flying. We start with learning to fly a rectangular pattern, then move on to turns-around-a-point and s-turns across a road. It's not shown in the episode, but we also do a little more simulated instrument work "under the hood", and of course, we end the lesson with some pattern work.
