Winterizing Next Years Crop of Sugarcane
We had a very successful trip picking up the sugarcane. I spent a good amount of time chatting with the gentlemen who sold it to me. He showed me his mill and setup for making syrup and explained the process in detail. I learned a few things and made a couple more connections. All the information I acquire is so important in learning how to plant, harvest, make syrup, even winterize. My hope is that what I have done to protect it from the cold is enough and by next March we'll have a lot of to put into the ground!
