Walk 218 White Cliffs Coastal Walk | Dover to Deal | Real Time & Nature Sounds #WalkingTour #POV

Join me and Mrs W for a stunning 10‑mile coastal adventure along one of England’s most iconic landscapes, the stretch between Dover and Deal in Kent.

We begin on the Dover Harbour promenade, before climbing onto the world‑famous White Cliffs of Dover via the Dame Vera Lynn Way. From the top of Langdon Cliffs, we pause to take in sweeping views over the busy port, watching ferries glide in and out beneath the imposing presence of Dover Castle.

Our route continues past Langdon Bay, Fan Bay, and the historic South Foreland Lighthouse, before crossing the open grassland of Lighthouse Down. We then descend into the peaceful curve of St Margaret’s Bay, where we stop to relax beside the calm sea.

After climbing the steps back to the cliff top at The Leas, we visit the War Memorial at Bockell Hill and follow the coastal path across Bockhill Farm, eventually passing Walmer & Kingsdown Golf Club. The cliffs end at Oldstairs Bay, where we drop down to the shoreline and continue towards Walmer Castle.

As we approach Deal, the irresistible scent of a local fish and chip shop pulls us in. We enjoy lunch on a bench overlooking the sea before completing the final stretch along the promenade, passing Deal Castle and finishing at Deal Pier, where we admire the sculpture “Embracing the Sea.”
