Solder paste is a mixture of powdered solder and flux used in the assembly of electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs). It is applied to the board's surface, usually through a stencil, to ensure precise placement. When heated during the reflow soldering process, the paste melts, forming electrical and mechanical connections between components and the board. The flux helps to clean the surfaces being soldered, ensuring strong bonds. Solder paste comes in various compositions, commonly including tin, lead, or lead-free alloys.
