A$AP Rocky (Rakim Mayers) is a rapper who is facing charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon in Hollywood, California. According to prosecutors Rocky met with fellow A$AP rapper Relli (Terell Ephron) in a parking garage to settle an argument between the two rappers on November 6, 2021. According to Relli, there was a fight and then Rocky drew a 9mm pistol and began firing at him, grazing Relli's hand.

Relli then went to the police under dubious circumstances (bringing the LAPD a baggie full of shell casings he found), and eventually Rocky was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon in April 2022 and given a $550,000 bond which was posted immediately.

Rocky is now facing two counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon (by using a firearm) and faces up to 24 years in prison.

Rocky and his attorneys admit that Rocky was in the parking garage, but that the handgun he is alleged to have used was a blank firing pistol and not an operable firearm.
