Climate activists warn Hanscom Airfield expansion will worsen private jet emissions

Climate change activists and progressive lawmakers are pushing back against a proposed expansion to Hanscom Airfield in Bedford, which would triple the facility’s capacity to hold private jets. One of those lawmakers, state Sen. Michael Barrett joined Alberto Vasallo III to discuss, along with Chuck Collins, the director of the Program on Inequality and the Common Good at the left-leaning Institute for Policy Studies. Collins co-authored a report on the environmental impact of the proposed expansion.
