Shakhsiyat with Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan

Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan is a renowned Indian classical musician belonging to the Sahaswan Gharana. He is the son of Waris Hussain Khan and grandson of Inayat Hussain Khan of Sahaswan Gharana. He has been associated with the Hindi Film Industry and has trained several noted playback and classical singers as a teacher.

Some of his protégés in Indian playback singing are: Manna Dey, Asha Bhosle, A R Rahman, Alisha Chinnoy, Hariharan, Shaan, Sonu Nigam, Geeta Dutt among others.

He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1991, followed by Padma Bhushan. He has been awarded the coveted Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, the highest Indian recognition given to practicing artists by Sangeet Natak Akademi, India's national academy for Music, Dance and Drama.
