Silent Hill 2 - Texture Overhaul: Apartments + Hospital - Showcase - COMING SOON!

Showing some of the new textures for the apartments and some of the hospital rooms. In this video I only show textures that were upscale via AI, soon I will show the textures that were remade from scratch for some of these scenarios.

"Silent Hill 2 - Texture Overhaul" is a mod focused on restoring the textures of Silent Hill 2 using the original source images and manual work. Much of the project still uses upscales via AI (4x Upscale via Topaz Gigapixel), but I will replace it as new texture sources are found.

This is a project that takes a lot of time, but I plan to release new updates monthly, fixing some problems, inserting new source textures and improving the upscaled textures. At the moment, only the textures of the map can be changed (it is not yet possible to replace the textures of characters, weapons, and other elements).

I want to say a huge thank you to @GabiShy , @mehaniq , @roovahlees5585 , Zee and other friends from the Video Game Texture Preservation server, who helped by finding important textures and materials for building the mod. Thanks also to the Enhanced Edition team who do a beautiful job restoring the game, without their modifications it would not be possible to insert high-resolution textures into the game!

Technical details:
- Original textures enlarged by 4x via Topaz Gigapixel AI (2048x2048);
- Source textures recreated from the packages: Sozaijiten Vol. 8, Wraptures Vol. 1 & Vol. 2, Page Overtures Vol. 1 and DEX Shashin Series.

Problems to be fixed:
- Texts from IA Upscales;
- Textures with transparency (have not been enlarged yet).
