July 4th American Flag Cake

Let me be clear: I do not consider myself good at baking. Yes, I can take a simple recipe and follow the directions just like anybody else, but baking is a true art form. It's completely different from savory cooking. But with that said, I thought I'd challenge myself this year and make a vanilla layer cake in the shape of an American Flag in honor of the fourth of July. I also did the best I could in terms of "fireworks," using both my Elon Musk flamethrower as well as sparkling candles.

The cake turned out okay, but aesthetically things were lacking. I NEVER make multiple tries when it comes to my cooking. I like to show it as it is, and this is just part of the journey, so I hope you appreciate that. Every single thing you've watched on my page is and always will be done in one take. There are no "re-do's." Happy fourth, everybody, and enjoy!
