Happy 25th Anniversary, Animaniacs!

#Animaniacs25

25 years ago, on September 13, 1993, one of Warner Bros' greatest animation masterpieces premiered to our screens and to our hearts, and that masterpiece is none other than Animaniacs!

Animaniacs, a beloved show from Warner Bros starring a trio of puppy-like children named Yakko (Rob Paulsen), Wakko (Jess Harnell), and Dot (Tress MacNeille) in their animated escapades from beyond the lot of Warner Bros Studios and all around the world, usually being on the run from Ralph the Guard. Accompanied by other characters such as Dr. Scratchansniff, Slappy the Squirrel, Pinky and the Brain (which later developed into their own series), and many others, the show has so much variety in terms of comedy, music, songs, and for the record, animation. The only show I know that uses different styles of animation and yet they're all hand-drawn and very well-made.

The show, while mainly being comedic, is occasionally educational. It taught me the nations of the world, multiplication, earthquakes the universe, healthy eating, the presidents, the states and capitals of America, and so many others. And that's mainly due to catchy songs. Goes to show that you can learn anything from music.

With such great voice talents such as Rob Paulsen, Jess Harnell, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Frank Welker, etc, this show is packed with some of the greatest entertainment the 90s has to offer.

Not only that, but this show is also renowned for its multiple adult jokes that can often fly over a innocent-minded child's head when he or she watches it. Usually those jokes are punctuated by Yakko whenever he says "Goodnight, everybody." My personal favorites were "give me the bird" and "Finger Prince" (may he rest in peace.)

I'm proud to say that I grew up with this show for so many years and to this day it still finds a way to make me smile and laugh and I'm very happy to get to celebrate 25 years of this amazing show and the 99 episodes (plus one movie) that the show offered to us 90s kids. Especially since the show is also about to get a reboot in 2020 on Hulu. With Steven Spielberg (the man who helped create the original series) on board with this, we can only expect the high-quality humor that the Animaniacs gave us back in the mid-to-late 90s.

With that said, let's all wish a very Happy 25th Anniversary to Animaniacs and let's look back on how many great memories were brought from this show.

Lemme know what you like about Animaniacs in the comments (if you've never watched the show, you don't have to).

Happy 25th Anniversary, Animaniacs! =)
