Iberia's Business Class on their longhaul flights is pretty impressive when it comes to the hard product! The seats are modern and up-to-date, in a form similar to the seats on Emirates' Airbus A380. The colors are good, the TV touchscreen is responsive, with a really nice flight show.
And yet: I left with very mixed feelings... Watch the video to understand why a perfectly modern seat still doesn't guarantee a perfect business-class travel experience!
But let's first start at the excellent Velazquez Lounge at the Terminal 4S for intercontinental flights at Madrid Airport.

I'm also mentioning one important fact: IBERIA PLUS, the frequent flyer program of Iberia, is pretty unknown outside Spain. But it's really worth a look! Redemption rates are very good, and they make Iberia Plus one of the best frequent flyer program in the world when it comes to awards for transatlantic flights. You can fly from New York and even Chicago to Madrid for just 34000 miles – or Avios, as they're calling their miles – and less than 100 Euros in fees. Even their avios+cash option is very good. You can also exchange your Avios from British Airways Executive Club to Iberia Plus and v. v. For unlimited times as both airlines belong to the same parent company.
