This smartglass goes from invisible to opaque in seconds. ESG Switchable is electrified privacy glass and can become opaque when you flip a switch. This is also known as switch glass or electrochromic glass.

What's really happening when you switch the glass? The smartglass has a liquid crystal film between two panels and is transparent when the film is connected to electricity. When a switch is flipped, the connection breaks.
