360Video | Spain's Dahi Handi equivalent from up close, in virtual reality

It’s a Spanish tradition that dates back centuries - building human towers that stretch several stories high. Called castells, the spires are the result of a competition that pits several teams against each other.

Here in Valls, the castell tournaments first began around 1700. Stronger people secure a foundation for the structure, as lighter ones, sometimes children, make their way to the top.

It’s up to the final climber to make it to the peak, raise their hand to the sky, then begin the journey down.

Of course, not all towers go as planned, after all, they’re only human.
