The Royal Navy officially opens a new Helicopter Operations Facility at HMNB Devonport
A value multi-million pound new Helicopter Operations Facility has officially opened at British Royal Navy Base HMNB Devonport in Plymouth. To mark the first landing on the runway, a Dauphin helicopter, from the Newquay-based Fleet Helicopter Support Unit, was seen landing in the area.
Quoted from air med & rescue site, The facility has been built under a £3 million contract, which was awarded by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) last year.
