Helmsley, North Yorkshire, UK 🇬🇧

Helmsley is situated on the River Rye, North Yorkshire, England just about 24 miles due north of York. This small town still retains it medieval layout especially around its market square. The town may be small but it has some fascinating attractions including the national centre for Birds of Prey, Helmsley Castle, Helmsley Arts Centre and the Walled Gardens. However due to the current lockdown in place, some of these attractions were closed.
Helmsley is a perfect small town for a half day visit or to have a short break from the busy city life. Its location is perfect to explore the local Howardian Hills, Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors.
