CLAYOQUOT WILDERNESS RESORT

Last summer we spent a few days at Clayoquot Wilderness Resort, close to Tofino, British Columbia. Instead of the traditional float plane direct to the resort from Vancouver, we opted to fly to Tofino first, and then take a boat transfer to the resort. We had an incredible few days enjoying the beauty, activities, food, and company. The staff were amazing and made you feel like royalty. A bucket list location for sure.

It would be the perfect location for a Fortune1000 C level retreat, Sales Incentive for a top producer, or retirement celebration trip (Yeah I'm talking about you dad!)

As for the video / audio quality, I shot this fully on the GOPRO HERO5 and often used a gimbal, with a super annoying motor noise. Smooth video or good audio, that combo only allowed for one or the other. When I came back to edit and started looking / listening to the footage, that gimbal noise drove me crazy so it took me many months to edit. A lot of rookie mistakes... I didn't take any time there to go through my footage as I sooo wanted to just be there in the moment.
Oh and I also ran out of memory cards.

I spent most time on the trip shooting stills, but still pleased with some of the footage.. less the audio.

I have improved so much since this trip and now shoot all my new videos on a GOPRO HERO7 and SONY A7III. Check out some of my more recent videos.
