BANE PATCH 1.06 F2D3 Midscreen and Corner Set Ups / Option Selects
Now that Bane's F2D3 leaves you with 26 frames of advantage it allows for many new set ups both midscreen and in the corner. The D3 hit is also a hard knock down so it does not allow for tech rolls to escape. In the first few clips, i show how midscreen you can f2d3, dash in and buffer into a command grab. This command grab can only be wake uped out of, it cannot be jumped or backdashed out of, or obviously blocked.
You can also use this same set up in the corner as well to force them to wake up. however, f2d3 followed by a dash in can set up multiple other set ups and option selects. After dashing in on the f2d3, neutral jumping will cause the body splash to cross up, which you can then end with mb backbreaker to put your opponent back into the corner. If you're opponent blocks the body splash you can still buffer on block into an enhanced command grab again to put them back in the corner. F2D3 also opens up new option selects in the corner. If you're opponent is going to wake up after the f2d3, after dashing in you can d2 during the invincibility frames and cancel into the command grab which will armor through their wake up. If the opponent decides to block, the d2 on block will still buffer into the command grab. This option select is not new but could never be done after f2d3 before. The new option select would be canceling the d2 into an enhanced venom uppercut. If you're opponent wake ups the venom upper will hit, leave them in the corner and give you advantage for Bane's normal pressure as well. If they block after the f2d3, the enhanced hit of the venom upper will cross up. Obviously these set ups are character specific because on taller opponents the enhanced hit wont cross over, but will at least be safe. Also, opponents with multiple hitting wake ups, i.e. Batgirl, cannot be armored through in time, so these will not work. However, you can always YYYEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH
