Filament Change Mid-Print - 158 hour, 1.4kg print! Different options and how-to

In one of our other videos we showed a T-Rex skull (file found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:308335 ) printed on the new Raise3D Pro3 Plus. It took a whole 158 hours, or 6.6 days and weighed over 1.4 kg. That means we had to change the filament mid-print.
When changing filaments there are a few options you have and we will discuss the pros and cons and talk about what we did and why.
