Saharan Dust Explained
A plume of dust from the Saharan Desert will move across the Atlantic this weekend towards the Gulf States next week. It is a fairly common occurrence this time of year and doesn't usually cause any major concerns. It actually suppresses Tropical development and can create pleasant sunsets. (Ken Weathers / WATE)
