Charming Medieval City Near Amsterdam – Haarlem Walking Tour 4K
Haarlem is a historic Dutch city near Amsterdam, known for its beautiful canals, medieval streets, and lively squares. Once a major trading center, it charms visitors with rich history, vibrant culture and shopping streets, and important landmarks. The famous New York neighborhood Harlem was originally named after this Dutch city during the colonial era.
In this video, we explore this welcoming and beautiful city, on an immersive 4k walking tour with ambient sound.
We start our travels in Haarlem around the massive Grote of Sint-Bavokerk, a stunning medieval church in the very center of the city. From here we start exploring the Grote Markt (the ‘Big Market), and dive into various shopping streets. We then walk through the narrow alleys and photogenic lanes behind them, admiring the historic architecture and enjoying the calm vibe.
We also venture further to areas around the ‘Spaarne’, the river that meanders the city, and see people enjoying food and drinks in attractive restaurants. At the end, we visit a former prison, known as De Koepel (‘The Dome’) that is now used for educational and cultural purposes.
