The anticipation is over! After being out here for two months, we are beginning the process of building our off grid shipping container home. Before starting on the foundation, we needed to find the septic tanks in the ground. They were left here from the previous owners and we feel very lucky to be able to use them and save a little money. Once we finally found the septic tanks, we began laying out the lines for the foundation. We have two 40 foot shipping containers that are going to be offset by five feet. The house will be 3 bedroom/ 2 bath and be about 820 sq ft. Eventually, we will also have a big deck overlooking the pond. We have so many plans for the house and the farm and are so excited to finally be getting started!
