California Delivery Compliance
1. YOU must Confirm/Verify the photo ID of your customer at the point of delivery.
2. YOU can contract with a third party Ecommerce solution.
3. Drivers must be YOUR employees (no subcontracting!).
4. Deliveries must start and end from YOUR licensed premises with no detours. (30 min max downtime)
5. A Maximum of $5,000 of product (retail value) with no more than $3,000 of product unordered at the time of departure
from YOUR premises is allowed in the vehicle.
6. YOU must have at least one “order that has already been received and processed” by YOU prior to leaving YOUR
premises.
7. YOU may electronically communicate an order(s) to YOUR driver after the driver has left YOUR premises.
8. YOU must maintain a detailed DELIVERY INVENTORY LEDGER for the vehicle at all times the vehicle is in route.
9. YOU MUST give the customer a detailed DELIVERY REQUEST RECEIPT.
10. After returning from each delivery, all undelivered products MUST be returned to YOUR inventory and all necessary
inventory and track-and-trace records shall be updated the same day.
11. Recommended order of Delivery Process: Verify ID, take payment, take signature, deliver receipt and product, update
delivery inventory ledger.
