Multi-Agency Wildfire Response

Multiple agencies responded to a Natural Cover Fire in Southeast Kennewick on the afternoon of August 11th. Those agencies consisted of Kennewick, Richland, Pasco and Hanford Fire Departmemts, Franklin County Fire District 5 and 3, Walla Walla County Fire District 5, Benton County Fire District 1, 2, and 4 and Fish and Wildlife services as well as Kennewick and Pasco police, Franklin and Benton County Sheriff and Washington State Patrol. The fire unfortunately destroyed a number of homes (numbers unconfirmed) and many acres of land (numbers also unconfirmed at this time). No injuries or deaths have been reported from this fire.
