‘Easy target’: Greens furious as over 160,000 Australians will be cut from the NDIS

More than 160,000 Australians will be cut from the NDIS under a sweeping overhaul of eligibility.

Even with the changes, costs will continue to rise but at a slower pace, growing to $55 billion by 2030 instead of the forecast $70 billion.

Greens Senator Jordon Steele-John claims the government is making cuts to the NDIS because they believe people with disabilities are easy targets.

“The government has decided to make these cuts because they believe that disabled people and our families are an easy target,” Mr Steele-John said.

“They are wrong.”
