Here’s a few things to look out for when shopping for a home.

1. Foundation Cracks
- Unstable foundations can be very costly 😬
- Make sure you bring out a Structural Engineer to inspect any foundation concerns.

2. Water & Moisture Issues
- Look up when going through a home. If you see stains or discoloration on the ceiling, this can be a sign of a rook leak or plumbing issue.

3. Musty or Fowl Odors
- If you see a lot of fans, air fresheners, a dehumidifier, etc. then there may be an underlying issue.

4. Infestations
- Yucky termites 🥴 Look out for crumbling wood, dead swarmers on window sills, & odd shaped formations of mud. If you suspect there’s a termite infestation, call an inspector ASAP!

5. Unpermitted Spaces
- Lacks the assurance that the space was built to code. This can cause issues with your homeowners insurance and the county.
