Ok so A Quiet Place 2 is the perfect continuation of the franchise in my opinion. It elevates the horror whilst also filling in some of the backstory about our characters and the day that everything went to hell.

In this video we're gonna be breaking down the mysterious monsters that took over the Earth and discussing comments from director John Krasinski on where they came from and what could be coming down the line. There's also a big detail that no one has discussed so far about the creatures that massively effects the way things work in the film.

With that out the way I'm your host Paul aka the guy who'll do anything for some peace and quiet, now let's get into the video.

Ok so A Quiet Place is very much about the vocal majority vs the silent minority. Now normally when you say that you're talking about politics and twitter whereas in the film it's about ravenous monsters that are ready to rip the head off anyone who so much as let's off anything above a silent but deadly.

They're absolutely terrifying but they have one big weakness, the creatures are completely blind.

In the opening of A Quiet Place 2 we finally get it confirmed as to exactly what they are and now know for definite that it was...aliens. These monster enter our atmosphere through an asteroid and eagle eyed viewers might have noticed in the first film that there was a newspaper clipping that said this impacted Mexico with the force of an atomic bomb.

When the first film released, Krasinski actually told Collider that before even starting the script for Part 1 that he mapped everything out. The director and writer created an entire backstory for the aliens and even so far back as 2018, he didn't mind divulging several things about them.

When discussing what they were Krasinski told the website:

“Where I developed the idea of them and what I wanted them to look like was most alien movies are about takeovers, agendas, they’re a thinking alien creature, and for me this idea of a predator, this idea of a parasite, this idea of something that is introduced into an ecosystem was interesting."
