Yemen’s Houthi forces claimed responsibility for a significant drone attack on a “vital target” in the Israeli Red Sea port city of Eilat, according to a statement by military spokesperson Yahya Saree on Saturday. The Iran-aligned group declared the assault part of its escalating operations in solidarity with Palestinians amidst the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.

In a televised address, Saree emphasized that such operations would continue indefinitely unless Israel ceases its military actions in Gaza and Lebanon. “These operations will not stop until the aggression ends, the blockade on Gaza is lifted, and the attacks on Lebanon are halted,” Saree said, framing the strikes as a response to broader regional hostilities.
