West Stowe Lake, Suffolk, 24 Aug 2016

During our ramble around the lake at West Stowe, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, on a very hot and sunny afternoon, Eddie and I were quite charmed by this little bird that we didn't initially recognise as a Sandpiper.... not a commonly seen bird, as it is migratory , and passes through the Uk during the late summer months.
Very interestingly though, it followed us for quite a while, and eventually came within about 5 feet of us, as we sat down to watch it further :)
What a lovely little bird to see.... inquisitive, bold, and almost friendly, as it came up so close... :)
