Hurricane Forecast Discussion - Hurricane Hanna Likely and Major Hurricane Douglas

Latest Sattelite imagery indicates that tropical storm Hanna is beginning to intensify at a much faster rate with now a 45% chance that Hanna could already be undergoing rapid intensification. Tropical storm Hanna has a very impressive outflow in all quadrants with a very cold topped CDO of -80 to near -88 degrees C latest satellite estimates such as the ADT have winds now at 60 kts and estimates pressures at 987 millibars but it's not clear yet if there are 60 kt winds, the Orion P-3 recon airforce mission is beginning to investigate Hanna. With the huge improvement over the last 6 hours from visible satellite truly states that Hanna's wind field has contracted some that may signal a sooned phase of RI. Tropical storm Hanna is moving West at 7 mph through the very warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico with SST around 86 to 88 degrees and wind shear only around 7 kts, This very pristine environment does support RI but it's hard to tell if this is occurring or not, but the one thing I will state is Convection has significantly increased on the West and North sides of the center and it's this that may soon indicate a RI phase. Also, Microwave imagery indicates that a low and mid-level eyewall feature may form, This means Hanna will soon become our first Hurricane of the Atlantic hurricane season.
