Tour of a Captured WWII Lend-Lease Russian Ford G8T Truck Used by the German Army

This is a short history of the Ford G8T truck during World War II and a walk around tour of the truck. These trucks were in production in late 1941 as part of the 1942 production model when Pearl harbor was attacked and the U.S. entered WWII. These were kept in production for domestic use for critical war industry and agriculture. Some were purchased by the U.S. military mainly for state-side use. Thousands of the G8T trucks were also shipped to Russia as part of the Lend-Lease program to support the allies in the fight against Germany. The Germans captured some of these trucks, as shown in this example used by the 353rd German Infantrie re-enactment unit based in the Chicago area.
