Mike Tyson's first fight on Network Televison. Tyson vs Ferguson

The 19 year old Boxing Phenom has finally received national attention. His opponent Jesse "The Boogie Man" Ferguson is a replacement for the original opponent Carl "The Truth" Williams and is more of a challenge then expected. Tyson would be quoted after the fight saying he wanted to drive Ferguson's nose through his brain in the sixth round stoppage. Tyson's damage control department had to go to work again after that comment. Ferguson would be a very active opponent for fighters on their way up until he suprised Olympic gold medalist "Merciless" Ray Mercer on February 6, 1993 at Madison Square Garden which led to a title shot against Riddick "Big Daddy"Bowe
