Remembering Paul Farmer
Dr. Paul Farmer, the global health pioneer, passed away unexpectedly on February 21 at the age of 62. A renowned infectious disease specialist, Farmer co-founded Partners In Health, which Open Society has supported, in Haiti after a visit to the country inspired him to dedicate his life to providing health care in some of the most underserved communities in the world.
