How to Create a 360-Degree Virtual Tour for Real Estate With Zillow 3D Home®

Learn how to create a virtual home tour using the free Zillow 3D Home® app and the Ricoh Theta V or Z1 360-degree camera by following the nine simple steps in this tutorial. Properties with Zillow 3D Home virtual tours can get more views and sell faster than listings without.

Equipment needed:
• iPhone 7 or above, or iPad 6 or above
• Ricoh Theta V or Z1 360-degree camera and tripod

How to create a virtual tour with a Ricoh 360-degree camera
1. Download the Zillow 3D Home app from your Apple® device: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/zillow-3d-home-tours/id1265223425
From your desktop, visit the Zillow 3D Home page to enter your cell phone number; you’ll get a text message with a link to download the app: https://www.zillow.com/marketing/3d-home/
2. Open the app and tap “Start capture”. Choose the 360-degree camera setting, and pair the Ricoh Theta V or Z1 360-degree camera with your device. (Both of these Ricoh cameras automatically integrate with the Zillow 3D Home app.)
3. Adjust your camera tripod to chest height, between 4 to 5 feet.
4. Select the room type in the app. Begin the virtual tour outside the front door, place the camera and select “Front door” as the area title.
5. Capture the first panorama. Walk out of sight and select “Add Pano” from your device, and capture.
6. Move the camera inside and capture panoramas in each room. Center the camera, select the area title on your device and complete the panorama. Repeat for each room.
7. Review your panoramas and retake any blurry images.
8. Start uploading the tour to your Zillow dashboard. Select “All panoramas complete.” Tap “Finish” when connected to Wi-Fi.
