From his first performance on November 12, 1976 (when he was just 15 years old ) Wynton Marsalis has remained committed to touring the United States for the last 40+ years, making 3,555 stops in a total of 597 cities. At almost all of these gigs he has been the last one to leave the venues, speaking with parents and kids and students and citizens.
