Forging an auger. Part 1: Creating the blank.
In this video I begin making a wood-auger from 20mm square mild steel and EN42 leaf-spring. To do this, I forge and weld-up a eye for a handle as well as create the correct section for the screw, forge-weld a carbon-steel bit and twist the screw.
