There's something... off about videogame economics. Regardless of when the game was made, who by and what it's about - it's remarkably easy to crack a game's systems open and use them to find the optimal means of making money, even when that means doing things that aren't actually fun. Why is this? Why can't game designers simply make economies just as fair, balanced and well thought out as the real life economy?
Well, that's a mystery The Architect has been studying for some time and it's, predictably, lead to even more questions. Between realms of the mind, post apocalypses and cities far beyond the stars, there's something strange going on with videogame economics, and the answer may just lie in our relationship with reality...
