Debussy VR Immersive Flute Performance

Corinne Larzul performs Claude Debussy's haunting melody, "Syrinx" in the beautiful setting of St. Peter's Italian church in the heart of Clerkenwell, London.

Syrinx, pursued by the amorous god Pan flees to the river's edge and begs the river nymphs for help. In answer to her pleas they transform her into a clump of water reeds. When the frustrated god's breath blows across the reeds they produce such an enchanting sound that Pan takes them and fashions them into a set of pipes.
