Chiang Mai - the best place we have visited in Thailand

Chiang Mai, Thailand was such a big surprise. On our 3 days there we cared for rescued elephants at a lovely family run sanctuary that does not support any type of cruelty towards these magnificent animals.

We picked tea at Araksa Tea Garden in Mae Tang District and got to try and buy various teas produced there.

We visited Lisu Eco Lodge in the Lisu tribe village. Here we got to enjoy an authentic lunch set up; we sat on the floor of an open space room with views of the rice paddies. We enjoyed eating the local cuisine followed by a tour of the village.
