India highlights minority persecution in Pakistan, calls for inclusive framework at UN

Speaking on the International Day to Combat Islamophobia at the United Nations, India’s Permanent Representative Parvathaneni Harish said violence in the name of religion must be rejected regardless of faith. India warned against selective approaches focused on one religion and called for addressing all forms of religiophobia. The envoy criticised Pakistan for politicising religious issues and raising what he described as baseless allegations against India, while highlighting India’s diversity and inclusive growth.
