Fun Fact: There’s a theory on Levi that he is of Jewish descent. Since his name is Hebrew and he lives in a persecuted family, it would make sense:

“So, "Levi" is the Hebrew word for "joining" and in the Bible he was the founder of the Tribe of Levi. Now heicho's appearance is pretty ambiguous in my opinion and I can't really determine his nationality from that. The safest assumption is that he is Jewish, specifically from the Israelite Tribe of Levi. According to Jewish tradition (and Wikipedia) people with that surname are Levites.”

Along with that, Eren is said to be Turkish or German, Armin a Westerner, and Mikasa of Asian descent.
