China’s 'Little Paris’ and its 354-foot Eiffel Tower | AFP #shorts

Built in the 2000s, a residential area on the outskirts of the Chinese city of Hangzhou, could be mistaken for a neighbourhood in Paris. Tianducheng is complete with a replica of the Eiffel Tower and Parisian-style buildings with the iconic iron balconies and mansard roofs. Once advertised as a luxury community and a venue for French cultural festivals, Tianducheng languished for years with unfilled shop units and uninhabited apartments before Hangzhou's booming tech industry brought eager buyers to its leafy avenues.
