Black match is a basic fuse used in traditional fireworks. It's basically cotton string or thread that is coated with black powder. This is a simple machine that you can use to make black match.

To make black match you will need well-milled meal-d (meal with 10% dextrin) made into a thick slurry with water and optional isopropyl alcohol. There are lots of resources that detail how to make meal - it is beyond the scope of this video.
