everything I learned in theatre school

It's here! The video several of you asked for but also maybe you meant something else! I've gotten a lot of requests to post more "theatre related" videos and honestly I really was not sure what that meant. This is just my best guess.

Recently I graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance from Western Michigan University and I decided to put that degree to good use! SO this video contains the highlights of what I learned in those four years of undergrad. Some of what I discuss was taught in a classroom setting (like "don't be afraid to take risks with your acting choices"), some was taught in a rehearsal setting (like "get out of your head"), and some I learned through my own experiences (like "it's all about who you know").

Theatre is not always a kind industry and while a lot of people like to think of acting as "easy", it really shouldn't be (if you're doing it well).

I understand that the majority of my audience are not actors and do not plan on going into acting, but I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO WITH THIS KNOWLEDGE lol yikes
Now I definitely do NOT know everything on this subject, and OBVIOUSLY I'm not the "best" or even "one of the best" in the field. But I do now have a fancy schmancy degree in this. I try to improve all the time and that's all any of us can do, really.
