YouTube phenomenon turned singing sensation Christina Grimmie hit the stage at Boston’s Royale Nightclub March 12, debuting songs from her most recent EP released in February.

In just six years, the 22-year-old New Jersey native went from covering hit songs on YouTube, to touring twice with Selena Gomez, to finishing in third place on season six of NBC’s The Voice. Having just returned from her first European headline tour featuring her last two albums and now opening for Rachel Platten’s Wildfire tour, Grimmie is already living her dream as a successful artist.

I caught up with the singer-songwriter before the show to talk about her skyrocketing career and the incredible journey that has gotten her from humble beginnings to where she is today.
