Safeena: An Afghan Refugee’s First 90 Days

Safeena Niazi, who now works for IINE, came to Lowell, Massachusetts as a refugee in 2017. In this video, she describes her resettlement process, and how IINE helped her family to adapt to their new life in the U.S.

Now, at the end of 2021, IINE is resettling 500 evacuees who recently were forced to leave Afghanistan, and all of them will require the same services Safeena and her family received in order to restart their lives and achieve stability in their new home.
