Spring-Mass System
This is my very first real experiment with a Spring-Mass system. This is a simulation of a simple lattice where one of the masses in the system is being "wiggled". As you can see, the whole lattice begins to vibrate and more importantly, over time, the lattice begins to SPIN. I did not inject any spin into this program. It is spinning all by itself. All I am doing is randomly wiggling one of the masses in the corner of the lattice which is painted yellow. This is the first time I ran this simulation. I was seeing it for the first time as I was recording it for you all.
The toolkit I am using is called Titan. It took forever to setup since everything has to be just right. And then, there is the learning curve. It uses the GPU which is why I am able to do such a complicated simulation in real time.
Enjoy.
