Water in numbers

On April 13, 3 pm, the declared critical level of 180 meters above sea level (masl) for the Angat Reservoir was reached. As of April 15, 1 pm, the water level stood at 179.5 masl. As a consequence water the flows into the pipes of Metro Manila residents for their domestic use and irrigation water for nearby agricultural lands have to be reduced.

While Metro Manila residents will not yet see huge reductions in water supply, it is best that that they themselves take urgent steps to conserve and maximize the use of water. Ensuring that clean water supply will last not only beyond the 2010 El Nino espisode but for generations to come is everyones responsibility.
