We went to Palermo mainly to experience Manifesta 12, and the weather on our first day was far from promising. The storm paused long enough for us to get back relatively dry to our accommodation opposite the Opera House, at which point the rain against the window panes gave us some wonderfully distorted views, as you can see here.
