When we decided to visit Turkey (now known as Türkiye) there were no real plans, John wanted to drive the D400, and we all have seen so far what epic views are on that road, and Mandy wanted to visit Gaziantep, renowned for its street food and the old Copper pot making shops.

So as we head east we ensured Gaziantep was on our route and even tried our best to pick a few days of good weather to walk around and see what this ancient city had to offer travellers form the west.

What are we doing and why have we called this trip an EXPEDITION? The word Expedition is used in all our video titles as this word means "promptness or speed in doing something, with a particular purpose, especially that of exploration" and this fits in perfectly with our plan to not only stay out of the UK for as long as possible, but to sample each country we visit to see if we want to come back for longer in our future travels.
